Shutter-style Headboard

I just wanted to post pictures of the newest member of our Farmhouse Collection.
It's a shutter-style headboard, inspired by the old vintage farm shutters that I love so much :)

For  more details, see our Farmhouse Collection here.

reclaimed barn wood farm table

I just wanted to share with you a custom farm table we recently finished in a
reclaimed barn wood style. This is such a fun finish to do, and can be done in any color combination.

Here are some signs in the same finish...

I'm working on putting together a custom tutorial for the "reclaimed barn wood" finish,
which will be available soon!

New to the farmhouse collection

Since we 've had so much fun with building our farmhouse tables, we decided to
try a few other pieces that's been waiting around in the sketch book. . .

Say hello to our Chunky Style Coffee tables :)

We wanted it to be super simple in design, and reflect a worn, timeless appeal. . .

Next in the sketch book is a shutter style headboard and platform bed, which
will soon be available on our new Farmhouse Collection website here. :)

Provincial Farmhouse Table

I had a little problem. . .
The dining set that I absolutely ADORE was just too small for my growing family.
We have five kids, a soon to be daughter-in-law, and two very special girlfriends that
frequently join us for dinner. Eating a meal at our house meant that four of us
could sit around the table, and the rest were scattered around the bar and family room. . .

Since we all know that the kitchen is considered the heart of the home, then the dining
room table should be able to reflect that as well. . .

After sketching out a design I had seen in a book, we got to work. . .

It needed to be big enough to fit us ALL. . .that was my stipulation :)

I wanted the body to appear as if it was a heirloom piece. . .

One that had been handed down for generations,
with a sense of natural comfort, practicality, and charm.

The final result exceeded my expectations, and I am tickled pink!!
My hubby is a good man.

. . .Time for a nice family meal and a late night game of cards :)
