fun studio 5 segment with Lumiere

A few months ago I was offered a position as design director for a fun new company called Lumiere Event Planning, and last week we kicked off the season with our first segment on Studio 5....wha-hoo!!

We focused on tips & ideas for a vintage wedding or party:

It was pretty surreal seeing my vision come together.
It's one thing to have it all in my mind...its another to see it on display on the set.
Such a fun experience!

This dress was pure lace...so beautiful!

We put cute little succulents in the vintage tea cups, and the adorable mini apple pies and country cupcakes were made by our catering company, Sweet Pea Catering.

One of my favorite things to do is fill old mason jars with layered brown rice, great northern beans, and black eyed peas...and of course, I ALWAYS have to include some beautiful ironstone!

The tea cup & saucer sets, ironstone, old mason jars, vintage candy tin, and typewriter were all from the Sandy Antiques Mall...and pretty reasonably priced! I had a lot of fun in that store ;)

Using an old suitcase or crate/box (this one is from Hobby Lobby) it's easy to create a
fun space for guests to put cards at a wedding...

Thankfully, Wendy was the lucky one to be in front of the camera, while I was comfortably hanging out on the set taking pictures and enjoying seeing all this hard work come together :)

Studio 5 must have liked us, because they have asked us to put another segment together for June 25...yay! This next one will be sharing some of our Organic Garden Party Collection :)

a little slice of heaven...

Some good friends of ours run a ranch up near the beautiful valley of Heber...
needless to say, we LOVE to spend time there.

It's a little slice of heaven...

The chicken coop...it's funny to hear them laying their eggs because they get real "chatty."
Do chickens have conversations? It sure seems so!

Meet Fanny and Pam...Betty was in there too somewhere, but I guess I missed her.
Sweet horses...cute personalities!!

This old barn and little stream next to it were some of my favorites.

Very quiet and serene.
I can picture myself having breakfast here every morning on this little bridge :)

This place is rich with history and charm, and it's so fun to see all of the wonderful treasures.
My daughter and Fanny have become good friends, and we can't wait to go back!

Vintage Dresser

We recently refinished an adorable vintage dresser in one of our custom colors we call "blue mist."
I really wish I would have taken a picture of it before...anyways, it was just a plain white finish with gold hardware. Our client wanted a soft pale-blue, and the hardware painted and distressed.

I absolutely LOVE this french country piece, and SOOOO wish I could have kept it!

Oh how I love the power of paint!! :)

Shutter-style Headboard

We just finished a king sized headboard, and loved the way it turned out :)
This is a king size, and finished in Tuscan Tan with a dark walnut overlay.

Look at all those fun pillows! Love!!

Vintage accent chairs for sale

I got a handful of antique chairs from an old Cache Valley farmhouse last year. They have so much character and charm, and I ended up keeping four of them to put in random places in my house...but I have two left, and no where to put them. So they are now for sale!

They are $35 each, and can be sold separately :)

Home Again Furnishings

We are super excited to be a part of this ADORABLE store, called Home Again...
I mean, just look at this place...who couldn't fall in love with this!

The first time I came here, I knew right away that we were going to be long time friends.
All things vintage, farmhouse, cozy, warm, and charming adorn this store from wall to wall,
making it an eye candy heaven! Shall we take a tour?

My daughter was swooning over these :)

She also REALLY wanted this darling little pink clock for her bedroom...

And if I thought I had some sort of a green thumb, I would have taken these home in a heart beat!

Look what I spy! It's our Shutter-style Headboard along the back wall :)

And here we have our Provincial Farmhouse Table & Benches :)
I loved the way they had our sweet little farm table displayed!

Last but not least...the floor. I want this floor! Dings and all :)
So if you ever want to spend an afternoon in "therapy," come on over to
Home Again Furnishings
Located in old Midvale, Utah!
